Fish

In the “Flying Fish” series there is a longing in the fish to take flight above the ocean, borrowing discarded wing feathers from birds that hover above the dunes. The paintings are travelogues, diary notes and poems. Some speak of ceremony. Some are guardians. The fish carry decorative crowns and symbols of home and country from where they have travelled. There is a symbiotic relationship between the fish and the migratory birds.
